This statistic shows the percent of survey respondents that have a three dimension television in their household (3D TV) in Great Britain from the first quarter of 2011 to the fourth quarter of 2017. Only one percent of respondents had a 3D TV in the first quarter of 2011. The fourth quarter of 2017 showed that number is up to six percent of respondents that claimed to have a 3D TV.
A 3D TV is a television that uses techniques such as stereoscopic display in order to convey depth perception to the viewer. Some of these TVs need 3D glasses and some do not. LG and Sony were the last two major TV makers to support 3D TVs, but due to low customer demand, the production of 3D TVs is to be discontinued in 2017.
