Internet TV: ownership in Great Britain Q1 2011-Q3 2018

This statistic shows the percent of respondents who owned a smart TV or television that is connected to the internet, from the first quarter of 2011 to the third quarter of 2018. 10 percent of households in Great Britain had an internet TV in the first quarter of 2011, and 37 percent of households in Great Britain had a internet TV in the third quarter of 2017.
Similarly, smart TV penetration increased in the United Kingdom (UK). In general, internet televisions are becoming a trend in the market, and this survey shows that their presence in households was steadily increasing throughout the years. An internet television is a digital distribution of TV shows through internet as opposed to the traditional televisions that broadcasted shows through cables and/or satellite systems.
