North American leisure visitor spending in the UK 2017, by country and gender

This statistic shows the amount spent by travelers from North America on leisure visits to the United Kingdom (UK) in 2017, by gender and country of residence. Female visitors from both countries presented higher travel spending than male visitors in 2017. Around 1.3 billion British pounds was spent on visits by female travelers from the U.S and 251 million British pounds on visits by females from Canada. Moreover, due to the much higher number of visits from the U.S, spending by male and female visitors from the States was naturally higher than Canadian visitors.
