Under Armour, Nike, and adidas were listed amongst the clothing brands no longer worn by teenage boys in the United States in 2018. For the fourth consecutive survey, Under Armour was ranked the number one ‘old’ brand that teen males do not wear anymore.
Under Armour undervalued
Nike was named the leading clothing brand amongst teenage boys in the United States, which contradicted those who perceived the brand to no longer be fashionable. However, teenage boys did agree on the popularity of Under Armour – only three percent considered it a leading brand. Teenagers might have a negative perception of Under Armour, but the brand is popular with adults: more than 40 percent of adults in the United States named it as a sportswear brand they liked in 2018.
