In September 2023, the UK outbound tourism expenditure amounted to roughly 8.2 billion British pounds, denoting an increase of nearly 13 percent over the figure reported in the same month of 2019.

¹ Data is a provisional estimate.

² Data derive from the International Passenger Survey (IPS) with a sample size of approximately 20,000 per month. 

Data between the second and fourth quarters of 2020 are estimates based on models and IPS trend data, as no figures were collected due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. 

Data from January to June 2022 only refer to air visits. 2021 and 2022 figures do not include the Irish land border and the Eurotunnel.
