L'Oréal is the leading beauty manufacturer worldwide, based on revenue. The company owns dozens of cosmetics brands spanning a variety of different segments, such as Lancôme, Essie, Maybelline, and Clarisonic to name a few. In 2023, L'Oréal had a market share amounting to 20 percent in Europe and to 13 percent in North Asia.
Several of the most popular health and beauty brands among European consumers are owned by L'Oréal. According to the results of a recent survey, some of the most popular skincare brands among U.S. women also belong to L'Oréal. In the same country, brand awareness for the company's hair care products was high.
