The EU imported about 781,980 motor vehicles from China in 2023, an increase of about 39 percent from the previous year. In 2021, China's vehicle exports to the EU experienced a stark increase of 153 percent as compared with 2020. China is now the third largest source country for EU car imports in terms of units, providing 18 percent of all imported vehicles.
