Musicians, composers, and producers are a few examples of possible job roles in this category. In 2019, there were more than 140 thousand people working as music creators in the United Kingdom.
Employment in live music
Another important sector, the second biggest employer in the industry, is live music. Around 34 thousand were employed in the live music sector in the UK in 2019. People who work in this sector include festival organizers, agents, and promoters. Live music accounted for 1.1 billion British pounds in GVA (gross value added) in 2018.
