This statistic shows the monthly Consumer Price Index (CPI) of newspapers and periodicals in the United Kingdom (UK), from February 2015 to July 2021, where the year 2015 equals 100. Prices grew slowly over the period in consideration, with the price index measuring at 139.7 in December 2021. Since then, the CPI has grown to 157.6 in August 2022 - a growth of nearly 18 points. Before, the CPI took a period of around three years for a similar growth. Consumer price indices are designed to measure changes in the price of everything consumers buy.
