In 2022/23, worldwide Arabica coffee production amounted to about 87.3 million 60 kilogram bags. The global production of Arabica coffee is expected to increase to just over 97 million bags the following marketing year.
World Robusta coffee production
Arabica’s darker cousin, Robusta, is a different variety of coffee bean that is smaller in size, harsher in taste, and generally easier to grow. Worldwide, about 77 million 60 kilogram bags of Robusta coffee were produced during 2022/2023. Global production of this bean variety is projected to increase during the next marketing year.

Tim Hortons is Canada’s largest quick service restaurant chain and focuses mainly on coffee and doughnuts. The number of restaurants owned by Tim Hortons has been on the rise in the past few years: in 2022, the company owned over 5,500 locations worldwide. Additionally, Tim Hortons’ revenue has been increasing with each consecutive year since 2015, reaching close to 3.8 billion U.S. dollars in 2022.
