The average purchase amount of spirits per person per week in the United Kingdom declined drastically in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In that year, the average purchase amount of spirits amounted to 4 milliliters per person. Purchases rebounded slightly in 2022 to 16 milliliters per person before declining again in 2023 to 14 milliliters.
