Motor insurance is a large part of the property and casualty insurance business in the United Kingdom (UK). From 2016 to 2022, there was an overall increase in the gross written motor insurance premiums in the UK, albeit with some fluctuation. In 2022, insurance companies recorded almost 14 billion euros in gross written motor insurance premiums on the domestic market - a slight increase compared to the previous year, and the highest value recorded during the time period under observation.
