Bayern Munich is the most successful club in the top tier of German soccer, the Bundesliga. Bayern’s revenue has doubled in the past decade to reach a total of approximately 750.4 million euros in 2018. The club subsequently experienced a slight slump in revenues, but this can be attributed to the significant impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on professional sport. The greatest sources of income for German Bundesliga clubs are media revenues, advertisements and transfers, followed by match revenues and merchandising.
