The statistic shows financing methods of luxury homes sold at over 5 million US dollars in selected cities worldwide in 2012. In 2012, 100 percent of properties purchased for over 5 million US dollars in Los Angeles were purchased with cash alone, whereas on the Côte d'Azur 5 percent of properties were paid for in cash alone, 95 percent were mortgaged.
