Largest private equity transactions globally 2012
The statistic shows the largest eecutred global private equity transactions as of June 2012. Private equity is the OTC provision of equity capital through private or instituational investers, with the partpicipation of company for a limited time in order to generate a financial return. In 2007, American financial investor Blackstone overtook the Hilton hotel group. The value of this private equity deal amounted to around 26 billion U.S. dollars.
