Number of IPOs of Chinese companies abroad 2013-2023
In 2023, the number of initial public offerings of Chinese companies at overseas stock exchanges reached 86. In recent years, the number of domestic IPOs had increased significantly in China, whereas the number of overseas IPOs had remained relatively stable because the Chinese government tries to develop the domestic financial market to incentivize Chinese companies to list at home. However, in 2022, the Chinese firms shied away from listing abroad.
