In the final quarter of 2019, Sony Music reported revenue of 365.1 million U.S. dollars worldwide, outperforming close competitor Universal Music Group. Revenues tend to fluctuate over the course of the year, though none of the industry's Big Three music publishers has experienced a dramatic loss over the last four quarters, though Universal's revenues took a hit of around 50 million dollars between Q4 and Q1 2019.
