In 2023, the unprocessed grain per capita consumption nationwide amounted to 134.4 kilograms in China. This amount was approximately 20 kilograms higher than grain consumption in urban households. However, the per capita consumption of sugar remained quite similar, around 1 and 1.2 kilograms in urban households and nationwide respectively.
