Privately owned passenger cars in China from 2009 to 2022
In 2022, China had more than 250 million privately-owned passenger vehicle registrations, representing an increase of around 6.6 percent from the previous year and more than twice as many as in 2014. On average, the number of cars owned by every 100 Chinese households was 43.5 in 2022.
