The number of letters sent in February 2021 in China was 79 million. From December 2019 to December 2020, the monthly letter volume fluctuated between 110 million and 190 million, but after February 2020 the monthly letter volume decreased to between 120 million and 150 million. It could be possible that as a result of the nationwide lockdown the postal service had not been operating at full capacity. During the lockdown, delivery services often were barred from entering communities.
