This graph shows the most attractive investment locations worldwide for the automotive industry, as evaluated by Chinese automotive executives in August 2013. In the survey, about 26 percent of executives stated North America was one of the most attractive locations.

In the survey sample, seven percent of surveyed companies made an annual profit above 50 billion yuan, 10 percent made 15-50 billion yuan, 12 percent made 4-15 billion yuan and 71 percent made an annual profit below 4 billion yuan.
The sample featured 24 percent manufacturers/OEM, 19 percent Tier 1 suppliers, 29 percent Tier 2 suppliers, 11 percent Tier 3 suppliers and 17 percent miscellaneous automotive companies.
