Hopes and aspirations for retirement, 2013

The statistic shows the results from a survey carried out in 15 countries that dealt with hopes and aspirations people have for their retirement. 18 percent of respondents said that spending more time with their friends and family was the "most important" hope and aspiration they have for their retirement, whereas 56 percent cited it as an "important" hope and aspiration.

The research surveyed 16,000 people in 15 countries: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Egypt, France, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States. The findings are based on a representative online sample, covering people of working age (25 and over) and those in retirement.

Two precent of respondents answered 'don't know' and two percent respondent with 'none of these.
Not all respondents were of retiring ages. '
