The European Union's biofuel production amounted to some 295 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2023, an increase of around 1.4 percent in comparison to the previous year. The highest value recorded was in 2019, during which biofules production stood at 300 thousand barrels of oil equivalent daily.
