This statistic depicts opposition to atomic energy from people in numerous countries worldwide and whether this opinion has been influenced by events at Fukushima in Japan. As the time of this survey, 66 percent of respondents were opposed to atomic energy following the events at Fukushima.

This survey was conducted in 24 countries. An international sample of adults in the U.S. and Canada between 16 and 64 years in all other countries between 18 and 64 years were picked for this survey. The unweighted basis of the respondents was 18,787 persons. About 1,000 people were interviewed in each country with the exception of Argentina, Indonesia, Mexico, Poland, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, Russia and Turkey, where the samples were approximately 500.
