New installations of solar PV capacity forecast 2015-2028

New solar photovoltaic (PV) installations capacity presented a trend of growth over the years. In 2023, there were 447 gigawatts of solar PV capacity added globally, indicating an increase of roughly 200 gigawatts compared to the previous year. In 2028, new solar PV installation capacity is expected to increase further, reaching a total of 876 gigawatts.
