Shareholder structure of Hochtief worldwide 2019-2023

The free floats of Hochtief AG decreased significantly in 2023. In 2020, there was a share buyout, which resulted in a portion of those shares becoming treasury shares. At the year-end of 2023, more than three-quarters of total shares were still held by Spanish construction multinational ACS, and the treasury shares accounted for 3.21 percent. Treasury shares are also known as reacquired shares and are shares that the issuing company buys back from the open market.
