Revenue of Deutsche Telekom worldwide 2005-2023
The German telecommunications giant Deutsche Telekom has had a remarkable journey in the global telecommunications industry that saw its revenues nearly double across the previous decade. The company’s revenues increased dramatically in 2020 by over 25 percentage points. This was partially due to T-Mobile’s major acquisition of Sprint in the U.S., as the former is wholly owned by Deutsche Telekom. The company’s revenue amounted to 112 billion euros in 2023, representing only a minimal decrease compared to 2022.
DT reports record profits
Digging deeper, most of Deutsche Telekom’s revenues come from its North American operations, where the region accounted for 65 percent of the company’s total revenues in 2023. When it came to profit, DT reported a record net income of 17.8 billion euros in 2023, more than twice as much net income reported in the previous year.
DT as a global leader
Not only does Deutsche Telekom reign supreme within its national borders, but it also boasts an impressive reputation on a global scale. Further solidifying its global reach, Deutsche Telekom holds one of the highest market capitalizations among telecommunication companies. Deutsche Telekom’s brand was also ranked as the third-most valuable brand globally in the telecom industry.
