U.S. smartphone app discovery channels 2015, by age

This statistic presents a selection of the leading smartphone app awareness and discovery channels of users in the United States as of June 2015, sorted by age group. During the survey period, it was found that 19 percent of survey respondents aged 18 to 34 years became aware of smarthone apps through word of mouth recommendations from family and friends.
