According to Statista’s Global Consumer Survey, Americans aged between 30 and 49 years old are the demographic that has the highest tablet ownership rate. Despite the market approacheing saturation, the average price of consumer tablets is projected to increase: by 2028, a consumer tablet will cost around 523 U.S. dollars on average, in comparison to around 267 U.S. dollars in 2018.

Apple’s iOS operating system for its tablet product iPad is the most popular operating system for tablet computers in the United States. iOS’ share of the tablet market stood at around 52 percent in March 2023. Google’s Android system is the runner-up in the market, having a share of around 46 percent.
