Lamborghini worldwide car deliveries to customers 2006-2023
In the fiscal year of 2023, the Volkswagen (VW) Group delivered around 10,100 Lamborghini cars to customers worldwide, which represents an increase of some 879 units as compared with the previous year.
Under the Volkswagen umbrella
Lamborghini is just one of many brands under the VW Group’s umbrella of companies and brands. As of 2023, nearly 26 percent of new car registrations in the European market were accounted for by the VW Group. To put Lamborghini’s deliveries into perspective, one should note that in 2023 the VW Group saw worldwide deliveries of about 9.24 million vehicles. This gives the Lamborghini deliveries a share of the total deliveries of VW Group of about 0.1 percent. In addition, Lamborghini saw sales revenue of about 2.66 billion euros in 2023. This is but a drop in the total worldwide revenue of VW Group in 2023 of about 322 billion euros. This is not to say that the Lamborghini brand in general is not valuable to the VW Group as the luxury car market is always increasing in value.
The luxury car market
Lamborghini is one of the most well-known luxury car brands in the world. As of 2023, the luxury car market has amounted to some 635 billion euros. This represents the highest valuation of the the luxury car market in the period between 2010, when it was about 245 billion euros, and 2023. Further, the Lamborghini brand is under the Audi Premium Brand Group collection of brands, which is under the VW Group’s umbrella of companies. As of 2023, Audi’s eponymous brand sold about 1.9 million luxury cars, selling the third most number of vehicles among the worldwide best-selling luxury car brands.
