Johnson & Johnson’s medtech (medical devices and diagnostics) segment earned about 10 billion U.S. dollars through its surgery franchise specifically, in 2023. Orthopedics was the second-largest franchise, generating roughly nine billion U.S. dollars that year.

Over the years, the multinational company with its various segments generated more than half of its revenues in the United States, making it the company’s main market.
