In recent years, online spending via desktop devices during Cyber Monday has skyrocketed in the United States, reaching approximately six billion U.S. dollars in 2020. This figure represents an increase of nearly 30 percent over the previous year. In its 2020 version, Black Friday recorded a desktop spend of about 4.3 billion dollars, whereas Thanksgiving expenditure amounted to some 2.7 billion dollars.
