Mexico's crude oil distillation capacity amounted to 1.64 million barrels per day in 2022. At that time, the Salina Cruz refinery, located in the state of Oaxaca, had a refining capacity of 330 thousand barrels of oil per day, the largest distillation capacity in the country. Tula, in the state of Hidalgo, followed closely, with a capacity of 315 thousand barrels per day.
