In the fiscal year of 2023, Lufthansa's operating result came to a profit of about 2.5 billion euros, a 76 percent increase compared to the previous year. Over the period given, the airline had recorded significant operating losses in 2020 and 2021 largely due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
