General Electric is a U.S. conglomerate founded some 128 years ago. The company is incorporated in New York and headquartered in the city of Boston. GE currently operates in many segments including power, energy, health care, aviation, and oil and gas, to name a few. Given the number of segments and diversity of General Electric’s segments, the largest segment is their aviation segment, followed by their healthcare segment. The United States is GE’s largest market while Asia is GE's largest sales region outside of the U.S..
