
Intel and AMD: Revenue from microprocessor sales 2010
California-based Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is a multinational semiconductor company which was founded by several former executives from Fairchild Semiconductor in 1969. Today the company, which competes with corporations such as IBM, Intel and Nvidia, employs more than 10,000 people around the world. AMD generated almost 60 percent of its revenues in 2013 from its computing solutions segment and around 40 percent from its graphics and visual solutions segment. The total global net revenue of AMD amounted to 5.3 billion U.S. dollars in 2013.
