Apple Mac: global desktop PC sales Q1 2006-Q4 2012

In the fourth quarter of 2012, Apple sold approximately 968,000 of their Mac desktop computers. This amount was down considerably compared to previous quarters. As of the first quarter of 2013, Apple changed their reporting methods and now counts Mac desktops and portables together. To see total Mac sales click here.

The quarterly periods of Apple's fiscal year are structured as follows: early October to late December of previous year (first quarter), early January to late March of the stated year (second quarter), early April to late June of the stated year (3rd quarter) and early July to late September of the stated year (4th quarter).
