This statistic depicts the results of a written survey conducted by the Food Waste Reduction Alliance and the Business for Social Responsibility in 2013. Survey respondents were asked regarding the destination of food waste in the U.S. manufacturing sector. The survey revealed that some 1.5 percent of the manufacturing sector's food waste was recycled.
