This statistic illustrates the results of a quantitative online survey conducted by BAV Consulting from February 22 to March 6, 2013. American adults were asked about the ways in which grocery stores' could help consumers to waste less food. Some 37 percent of respondents stated they would find it helpful if grocery stores were to replace incentives for buying larger quantities by offering special sales on individual products.
