Growth of the real gross domestic product (GDP) in Afghanistan 2023

In 2023, the growth of the real gross domestic product (GDP) in Afghanistan increased by nine percentage points compared to 2022. This was a significant increase in the growth. Nevertheless, the last two years recorded a significantly lower growth than the preceding years.
Following the definition of the International Monetary Fund, this indicator refers to the annual change in the gross domestic product at constant prices, expressed in national currency units. Here the gross domestic product represents the total value of the final goods and services produced during a year.
