Most of Brazil's land area is occupied by forests. According to the source, Brazil's total land area amounts to around 8.4 million square kilometers, of which 59.1 percent was occupied by forests in 2022. However, forest areas have been decreasing since 2010, mainly due to deforestation, whereas the share of arable and cropland has been increasing.
