This statistic presents the reasons for being on Instagram according to users in the United States as of the third quarter of 2019. According to the findings, 67 percent of respondents stated that they used Instagram to stay in contact with friends and family. A further 47 percent of respondents stated that they used Instagram for entertainment purposes.
