Cinema attendance in Colombia 2000-2023
In 2023, movie theaters across Colombia sold approximately 53.9 million tickets, up from 42 million a year earlier - an annual increase of over 27 percent. Despite the growth, the 2021 figure amounted to 73 percent of the record-high 73 million movie tickets sold in 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic. The number of cinema screens in Colombia also went up in 2023.
