The statistic represents the reasons for downloading digital content in the United Kingdom (UK) as of March 2018. During the survey, 66 percent of respondents stated that digital content was easier/more convenient than the physical version, 54 percent of respondents claimed that it is quicker.

During the survey, this question was posed as follows: "You indicated you have downloaded [CONTENT TYPES] in the past three months. Generally, what would you say are your personal reasons for downloading these types of files rather than buying a physical version such as a CD, DVD, Blu-ray, paper, etc.?" The respondents were questioned using online (CAWI) and face-to-face surveys. Multiple answers were possible.
