The statistic shows the seven least-trusted financial institutions in the United States in 2010. The interviewees were asked whether they agree with the following statement, 'my financial provider does what's best for me, not just its own bottom line'. It was the nations largest institutions that performed the worst in this survey, whereas about 70 percent of credit union customers responded positively to the statement. London-based bank HSBC proved to be one of the least-trusted banks, with 16 percent of its customers agreeing that the bank worked more in their interest than its own.
