In 2023, hypercasual was by far the leading mobile gaming genre in the United States based on downloads. Hypercasual games generated about 1.4 billion downloads, accounting for 31 percent of U.S. mobile gaming downloads. Simulation games were ranked second with 665.3 million downloads.
