Nearly half of home builders and remodelers that have done green projects in the United States mentioned that doing the right thing was one of the main reasons to engage in that type of projects. Over a third of those builders and remodelers also mentioned code requirements and creating healthier homes as some of their other main reasons to construct green homes. Meanwhile, only 16 percent of them said that they created green homes because of the market demand.
