What cereals are produced in Russia?
The main cereals cultivated in the country are wheat, barley, rye, and maize. They are used in the production of flour, bread and pastry, compound feed, rice, or groats. With a wheat production volume of 81.5 million metric tons, Russia is the fourth-largest producer of that commodity worldwide. Furthermore, the country ranks as the second-largest barley producing region after the European Union, with an output of over 16 million metric tons.
