In 2022, the average price of properties for business purposes in Beijing surpassed 38 thousand yuan per square meter. The capital, together with major municipalities of Shanghai, Tianjin, and the southern tourist hotspot of Hainan are the regions with the most expensive commercial real estate in China, where the average price dropped slightly to 9,934 yuan per square meter in 2022.
