* Reported legal abortions by the ethnicity of women who had obtained abortions, by the state of occurrence. Percentages may not add to 100 percent because of rounding. "Other" includes Asian (Indian, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, or other Asian), Pacific Islander (Native Hawaiian, Guamanian or Chamorro, Samoan, or other Pacific Islander), other races, and multiple races. As data are reported voluntarily by providers to state or area health departments, information may be incomplete and result in undercounting abortions when calculating rates and ratios in some states.
